The clamoring for worldwide regulations to curb corporate abuses has been strong in the wake of Wall Street scandals such as Enron, Worldcom, Tyco and Parmalat in Europe.  In the US, the advent of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 alone has prompted a flurry of activity on the matter of corporate governance and internal control required to reach compliance to the dictates of the Act. By this time, executives and most company employees already know that Sarbanes-Oxley is the most encompassing law on financial integrity passed by the US Congress since the Securities and Exchange pronouncements of the late nineteen thirties.
